Who are we?

Freelancer HR is the brainchild of executive producer Sunshine Jackson. Following a decade of writing and speaking extensively on the subject of industry working practices, it is clear that inappropriate behaviour and poor management continue to flourish. Insecure freelance working practices mean no one dares rock the boat for fear they won't be hired again. With production company resources already stretched to the limit, Sunshine decided to create an independent, grassroots way to kick-start change and protect freelancers.

Staffed for the time being by volunteers, Freelancer HR has big plans and a great network of HR, coaching and training partners. Sunshine will soon be announcing the organisation's first advisory board members.
